YouTube Description
as posted by the channelMarissa Semkiw reports for TheRebel.media:
In the new Alberta budget, the tax credit for donating to charity was slashed from 21% to 12.75% -- that's a difference of 40%.
A grassroots movement called Albertans4Giving is trying to reverse this decision.
Brad Tennant, a spokesperson for the group, says that the $90 milllion the government will save by making this cut is "puny" compared to the overall budget.
He says there are many different areas in which the government could cut funding, instead of punishing people's generosity.
