7:28Now PlayingEzra Levant of TheRebel.media reports that Alberta's NDP premier Rachel Notley has just given Quebec's Liberal premier a veto over her province's economic future.
Notley claims she wants to build the Energy East pipeline, but that the Quebec premier wants guarantees about "environmental protection" first That's weird because Quebec has plenty of pipelines already, bringing in OPEC oil, and they certainly haven't issued any ultimatums to the Saudis about "climate change."
Notley is pretending she's making a concession on carbon taxes to Quebec in return for their approval of the pipeline, but the opposite is true. It's the cap and trade scheme she really wants, not Energy East at all. Constitutionally, Quebec doesn't have veto power over another province's projects.
