One expense in particular stands out: The $400,000 a year PanAm bureaucrats invoiced $10,000 for car washes. For cars they got for free anyhow. Were they being washed with champagne by $250/hour lawyers?
Now Toronto is considering a bid to host the Olympics. Ordinary locals may be indifferent or even hostile to this bid, but you can bet those same bureaucrats are all for it.
