3:39Now PlayingBrian Lilley of TheRebel.Media further explores one of the policies in the NDP's 2015 Policy Book related to firearms.
The policy aimed at stopping illegal gun smuggling, proposes enabling municipalities, provinces and territories to implement a ban on handguns. But handguns are already difficult to get in Canada so why the need for this policy? As Brian discussed with gun control scholar John R. Lott, Jr. yesterday, progressives across North America haven't had much success making changes at the federal level, so is this an attempt to shift responsibility to local levels with gun confiscations next on the agenda? Maybe we could get to talking policy if the media wasn't so busy talking Duffy.
