5:48Now PlayingSeptember 3, 2015: Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper comments on the drowning death of three-year-old Aylan Kurdi, who drowned when a boat carrying migrants capsized on their way from Turkey to Greece.
He expressed his sadness at the child's death, and reminded his audience that blame for this tragedy lies with ISIS, the terrorist group Canada is currently fighting, while sending humanitarian aid to Syria and other effected countries.
Harper also talked about Canada's role in the military coalition fighting ISIS. While Canada has "the most generous immigration and refugee" program in the world, he added that ideally, migrants wouldn't be driven from their homelands at all. That is where military intervention comes in, to stop violence at the source.
