4:07Now PlayingSheila Gunn Reid reports for TheRebel.media:
Alberta has a brand new budget and Finance Minister, Joe Ceci is calling it the "Alberta Way". The budget earmarks 80% of the $2.7 billion in new taxes towards public sector compensation.
Well, besides all the goodies and raises for the NDP's union friends, I have another reason for being suspicious. "The Alberta Way" is a registered trademark of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees. Strange.
Wait, there's more. Mark Wells, the former communications advisor of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees is now the head of the "non partisan" Parliamentary Affairs Bureau of the Alberta Government. Oh, and Mark Wells used to be the communications director of the Alberta NDP.
With this new government, we have recycled union propaganda, crony appointments and huge rewards for public sector friends. In four years, will we be able to tell where the government begins and the union ends?
The NDP budget is a disaster, and the worst is yet to come!
