3:44Now PlayingSo there’s a little town in Germany, called Sumte. 102 people live there. The district government says they have to take in 750 asylum seekers.
But once they arrive, then what? Should Germans be kicked out of homeless shelters to make room for non-Germans?
The plan is to house them in vacant office buildings. Office buildings are not like houses. They don’t have showers and kitchens. Oh, and Sumte doesn’t have a school. It doesn’t have a police station. I’m sure there will be a Muslim madrassa, a religious school, set up soon enough.
Do you think the language of Sumte will continue to be German? Do you think women’s rights will be the norm — or burkas and niqabs?
