NDP MLA Shaye Anderson called Friday's Stop Bill 6 Rally at the Legislature in Edmonton" extremely violent and brutal".
Anderson was referring to Jobs Minister Lori Sigurdson's minimal interaction with the peaceful farming crowd.
I was in the crowd. I was interviewing farmers and their families. I recorded the whole event. It wasn’t violent and it wasn’t brutal. In fact, the event was so peaceful and well behaved that other media outlets were tweeting about how many families were there.
For Anderson, the backlash outrage was swift, immediate and well deserved. There were calls for Anderson to resign and retract. Shaye Anderson even trended on Twitter for part of the day. He eventually had to retract.
But make no mistake, this is what the left does..
