Igal Hecht of TheRebel.Media reports: Thousands of Israeli Arabs took to the streets on Saturday to protest a security cabinet decision to ban the radical political group Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement.
The political group and its leader, Sheikh Raed Salah, have frequently incited Arab-Israelis against the state of Israel most recently fuelling the wave of violence referred to as the “Intifada of the Knife”.
Netanyahu noted that this Islamic extremism is the same ideology that is behind all of the attacks around the world whether in Paris or Mali, places where there are no settlements, demonstrating that the opposition is to free and open western democracies regardless of where they exist.
