During a press conference, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan cited Germany under Hitler as an example in history where a Presidential system had “function”.
His comments have been met with criticism and warnings from those who say Erdogan’s reference to Hitler shows what kind of regime he is planning for Turkey, a NATO member and as yet close western ally.
