One thing we’re learning time and again since the Liberals won the election, is that reality is much different than election promises.
Nowhere is that more clear than on the refugee issue.
Those of us who pointed out that there were logistical, security and health risks, and who said maybe they don’t want to come and would rather stay close to home for when the conflict ends, were smeared.
We were told that anyone who disagreed was some kind of racist or bigot but isn’t it obvious now that what we were was realistic?
I read off some numbers from the government’s own website that demonstrate how badly wrong the Liberals got it.
It’s time for the Liberals to admit they were wrong, and while they’re at it, maybe they can apologize.
