Holly Nicholas of TheRebel.Media reports:
The Alberta NDP is doing nothing for private sector jobs in the province.
Recent StatsCan data shows that public sector jobs have increased, while private sector jobs have plummeted – all in May of 2015, when the NDP was elected. But if you want a union job, all you have to do is look to the Alberta Health Services job page where there are 445 jobs available.
If Rachel Notley and the NDP aren’t the problem, why are unemployment numbers higher in AB than in BC and Saskatchewan? According to the government of Canada, the unemployment rate in Saskatchewan is 5.5%, while in BC it’s 6.2% and in Alberta, we’re at 7.0%.
Rig utilization is also higher in Saskatchewan (5%) and in BC (20%), which represents up to 15,515 jobs in Alberta. But the NDP doesn’t care about the oil and gas industry and the people that are losing their jobs, or the families that they’re affecting. They care about their own – the unions.
Oil and gas companies will go where they can make more profit and to where the government is more supportive of the industry – like in BC and Saskatchewan where there’s decreased corporate taxes and no looming royalty review.
And when there’s a government in place that increases corporate taxes and plans new royalty structuring that is all for the public service and has little solutions for the private sector – Alberta bleeds private investors and jobs.

The NDP budget is a disaster. Over 50,000 are out of work. Investment is fleeing the province.
