Democracy at Work is a project, begun in 2010, that aims to build a social movement. The movement's goal is transition to a new society whose productive enterprises (offices, factories, and stores) will mostly be WSDE's, a true economic democracy. The WSDEs would partner equally with similarly organized residential communities they interact with at the local, regional, and national levels (and hopefully international as well). That partnership would form the basis of genuine participatory democracy.

We are in a particular position to inform and inspire this movement and need your support.

Open to and interested in democracy at work, our supporters also want to move actively beyond today's dysfunctional economic and political systems while mindful of mistakes made by earlier efforts to go beyond capitalism.

Contributors will join a fast-growing social movement to make lasting and positive change the world over.

What We Need & What You Get

For the past two years, we have built a website that acts a resource base for the movement, created an animated video that explains the notion of economic democracy, hosted numerous events with thousands of participants around the world to introduce people to WSDEs, and have produced and syndiated a radio program entitled, Economic Update to reach more and more with this message. All of this on very little funding. We are ready to deepen the scope of resources on our website, host more and bigger events, publish a graphic novel that describes the world made possible by WSDEs, and add interactive sections to the site that will allow people to discuss and form their own WSDEs where ever they are.We have some really awesome incentives like Democracy at Work totebags, signed copies of Professor Richard Wolff's books and even Skype sessions, coffee or dinner with Professor Richard Wolff himself! The Impact

Bringing democracy to work affects us all. If we can change the way we run our businesses by running them ourselves, we can be more productive, happy and put a permanant end to the economic crisis.

We have already built an audience of over 10,000 visitors to our websites each week and thousands more reached each day on Facebook.
