A few days ago at the COP29 meeting in Baku, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Britain will slash its CO2 emissions by 81% by 2035. It’s hard to imagine a more foolish move, particularly given that Germany has already wasted more than $750 billion on its failed energiewende. Germany’s ruling coalition has collapsed and its heavy industry is also collapsing. The fact that Startmer is following Germany’s example is, to use a Britishism, gobsmacking.
