17:30Now PlayingTwo Black teenagers from Dickinson Texas were at an off-campus basketball game when school officials thought they smelled weed on the young men.
The teens were detained, searched and administered sobriety tests. They were not under the influence of any controlled substance nor did they have anything on them.
The parents of the teens had them drug tested and the results were negative. Despite the overwhelming evidence that the teens did not have any marijuana in their possession they were still sent to a Disciplinary Alternative Education Program.
On Wednesday, Nykisha Owens, her son and Kimberley Yancy, President, Dickinson-Bay Area NAACP spoke to Roland Martin about this disturbing case.
