4:56Now PlayingChicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johson and Mayor Rahm Emanuel came out swinging after the news broke that all charges were being dropped against "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Emanuel said of the Smollett decision, “This is a whitewash of justice and sends a clear message that if you’re in a position of influence and power you’ll be treated one way, other people will be treated another way."
Roland responded to Emanuel's outrage over the decision in the Smollett case by telling the mayor of the Windy City, "You did all that you could to do to keep justice from being served" in the Laquan McConald case.
If you remember, it took 13 months for charges against Jason Van Dyke to be filed and for the McDonald police shooting video to be released to the public.
