5:19Now PlayingThe Democratic party wants to make people like New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a one and done. AOC won her seat by first ousting a longtime incumbent in the Democratic primary. To try and make sure that never happens again, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) which helps run and finance House races, has adopted new rules to discourage primary challenges in the future.
According to these new guidelines, the DCCC will neither contract with, nor recommend, to House candidates, any political vendors like consultants or pollsters that work to oust sitting members of Congress.
