North Carolina is ground zero for voter suppression and on Thursday, Congresswoman Marcia Fudge, chair of the House Elections subcommittee, held a hearing in the state focused on legislation to reinstate Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act.
Rev. William Barber testified at the hearing and detailed the heinous attempts by Republicans to bar access to the ballot.
