9:39Now PlayingThe trial of Frank Nucera, a former Bordentown New Jersey police chief continued on Wednesday.
Nucera is charged with hate-crime assault, deprivation of civil rights and lying to the FBI. He's accused of slamming a handcuffed black teenager's head like a basketball, according to testimony, into a metal door jamb.
Nucera faces up to 20 years in jail and the loss of his six-figure pension, frozen since March as part of an agreement with New Jersey pension officials, if jurors believe beyond a reasonable doubt he is guilty of the crimes.
