Mississippi Democrat Mike Espy Announces Run For Senate. Will The DNC Invest Heavily In This Race?

Mike Espy, a Mississippi Democrat who lost a Senate runoff against Cindy Hyde-Smith last year has challenged her to a rematch in 2020.

Espy, a former member of the House and agriculture secretary in the Clinton administration, would be the state's first black senator since Reconstruction if elected.
