Borum who is looking to take over Rep. Pete Visclosky's congressional seat. Visclosky has been in office for 35 years and is going to retire after his 18th term in office.
While attending law school, the northwest Indiana native worked in the offices of Congressman Pete Visclosky, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin and for the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations in Washington, D.C.
Borum has also worked for AAR Corporation, an independent provider of global aviation services, where she manages government affairs in six states, including Indiana.
She has also racked up a slew of powerful endorsements which include Rep. Jim Clyburn, Rep. Bennie Thompson, Rep. Cedric Richmond and Rep. Marcia Fudge.
