In 2012, she became the first woman and first African American District Attorney of Los Angeles County. Her constituents aren't happy with the job she's doing and her refusal to meet Black Lives Matter activists.
When protesters decided to show up at Lacey's front door they were greeted by her husband who pointed a handgun at them.
After the shocking incident Lacey apologized for her husband's actions saying she was “profoundly sorry”.
