The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new guidelines on school openings after Trump heavily criticized the current ones.
The nation's complaiiner-in-chief tweeted, "I disagree with CDCgov on their very tough and expensive guidelines for opening schools. While they want open, they are asking schools to do very impractical things. I will be meeting with them!"
In another tweet he went as far as threatening to cut funding for schools if not opened. Despite surges in some parts of the country, he is pushing for schools to reopen by fall.
Infectious Disease Specialist, Dr. Alexa Gaffney spoke with Roland Martin about reopening America's schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Gaffney said, "Endangering the lives of children is unacceptable." She also reminded viewers that "you can't keep a school safe" in the midst of this pandemic.
