House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene shed crocodile tears inside the capitol building today as she pleaded her defense to being removed from House committees for endorsing the far-right conspiracy organization QAnon and her disturbing social media history.
Greene described herself as a regular American; a mother, wife and successful business owner, prior to being inspired to run for office by Donald Trump. The Georgia Republican representative also used her ten-minutes to say she believes both 9/11 and school shootings occurred, although her previous posts on social media have shown conflicting sentiments.
Greene, who wore a free speech mask on the house floor, said that her comments were "words of the past that do not represent her values or her district.
