19:35Now PlayingRepublicans in Georgia continue to introduce bills aimed at disenfranchising Black voters after they showed up in record numbers to elect two Democratic senators in January's runoffs.
Last week, Georgia House Republicans presented a 48-page bill calling for several changes that would limit the timeframe for early voting in the state.
Provisions such as eliminating Sunday voting altogether and allowing for early voting to take place on just one Saturday before the election, would directly affect the Black community, who used early voting on weekends at a higher rate than whites in 43 of 50 of the state's largest counties, according to Fair Fight Action.
Senator Tonya Anderson member of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus spoke with Roland Martin about Republicans doubling down on voter suppression in the state.
