15:13Now PlayingIllinois Governor JB Pritzker has signed a new criminal justice reform bill that will eliminate the cash bail system by 2023, making the state the first ever to abolish the discriminatory practice in the country.
The new law, which was pushed by the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus, also mandates that every police officer in the state wear a body camera by 2025.
