King Richard shows the obstacles Williams faced as he secured lessons, training, and opportunities for his talented black daughters in a white-dominated industry. The tennis sisters were executive producers of the film.
One of those critics, Dr. Jess Taylor, tweeted: Did they seriously make a film called 'King Richard' about the success of Serena and Venus Williams - but it's about their dad, Richard?
