Chauvin pleaded guilty to two federal indictments for two incidents where he knelt on a person's neck, including the death of George Floyd.
Before the sentencing, Chauvin briefly addressed Floyd's children. In a short statement, Chauvin wished Floyd's children all the best in their life.
Chauvin's federal sentence will run concurrently with his twenty-two-and-a-half-year state murder sentence.
