10:53Now PlayingComedian and actor Mark Curry says he was racially profiled in a Colorado hotel while in town for a comedy show over the weekend.
Curry was sitting in the lobby of the Wyndham Mining Exchange hotel in Colorado Springs when a white man approached him, inquiring if he was a hotel guest. Curry asked the employee for identification, but the employee refused.
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts made the following statement about the incident on Twitter:
"We appreciate your concerns. The hotel's owner and management team are working to make this right. Room is being refunded and Mr. Curry has an open invitation to return any time in the future at no cost. Hotel is also revisiting staff training to ensure all feel welcome."
