When Autumn Roberson-Manahan fought back, she was sent to an alternative program where she had to wear an orange jumpsuit, ultimately driving her to be hospitalized in a mental facility.
Before Autumn's mental breakdown, she was a top contender for valedictorian at Slaton High School in Slaton, Texas. A school district plagued with complaints of racial bullying.
Autumn's mother, JaQuatta Manahan, Dr. Candice Matthews, Statewide Vice Chair of Texas Coalition of Black Democrats, Texas State Representative Ron Reynolds, and Judge Morris L. Overstreet spoke with RMU guest host Robert Patillo about the harassment the Texas teen faced.
