Tyre Nichols was pulled over in January for alleged reckless driving despite police later admitting no evidence. Body camera footage shows conflicting commands, forceful removal from his car, and a ground altercation.
Nichols briefly fled, caught within yards of his mother's home. Officers restrained him, using punches, kicks, pepper spray, and a baton. Hospitalized in critical condition, Nichols died three days later from severe head trauma.
