18:06Now PlayingFormer NFL Network, Jim Trotter is suing the league and its media arm, alleging racial discrimination and retaliation after his contract was not renewed earlier this year.
Trotter, who is Black, was employed by the league for five years and spoke publicly and privately multiple times about the NFL's diversity issues--included in those conversations about the lack of Black head coaches and executives at the NFL Network.
Earlier this year, before the Super Bowl. Trotter asked Commissioner Roger Goodell at a televised press conference about the NFL Network's issue, and he found that his contract was not renewed months later.
