1:18Now PlayingFirst and foremost, we’re at a critical moment where the AFL-CIO is not only standing up for workers but also for communities across the country. It’s time for us to unite—as a religious community, a community of faith, and a civil rights community, which has a long history of fighting for justice and rights. The labor movement must be an integral part of that effort. We’ve been involved in many initiatives to push back against these challenges, but we can’t succeed unless we come together as a people, recognizing that we’re all at risk. The key here is that people must unite. This is the time to bring our forces together and do whatever is necessary. Whether it means taking to the streets, confronting our members of Congress, or attending town halls, we need to make sure our voices are heard. But it must be done in unity, alongside those who have always been the advocates for social and racial justice in our communities.#AFL_CIO #RolandMartinUnfiltered #StateofOurUnion #CivilRights #CollectiveAction #WorkerSolidarity #FightForJustice #Activism #MakeVoicesHeard
