Roland Martin, Dr. Greg Carr, Reecie Colbert, and Larry break down a new warning sign in Black political communication: more Black men are tuning out major media outlets and turning toward YouTube, podcasts, Joe Rogan, and other independent voices. Roland argues that this shift is happening inside a broader information war where Black men are being fed misinformation and disinformation while trusted Black media voices are underfunded, sidelined, and erased. The conversation connects today’s media crisis to the long legacy of the Black press, from the Civil Rights Movement to Black-owned newspapers, magazines, and platforms that carried stories white media ignored or could not safely cover. The challenge is clear: support Black media, reject disinformation, and answer what Black America is prepared to do in a moment that demands organization, voting, funding, and action.
