18:35Now PlayingMaria Bartiromo says criticism of the Trump economy is “propaganda” and insists things “feel pretty good.” Roland Martin says that is a load of BS and brings the jobs numbers, manufacturing losses and household costs to show why he says Fox is lying to Americans.

Maria Bartiromo says criticism of the Trump economy is “propaganda.” She points to record markets, rising wages, investment and CEOs who tell her business is strong, then argues Republicans simply need to do a better job communicating their economic story.
Roland Martin says that is flat-out gaslighting. He points to more than 100,000 jobs lost over the last three months and says that while Trump allies celebrated a 5,000-job increase in manufacturing in the latest month, the economy has lost 75,000 manufacturing jobs since Trump returned to office in January 2025.
Roland backs his argument with Bureau of Labor Statistics data and presidential job-growth comparisons, arguing that the numbers do not support the rosy picture being sold on Fox. He says CEOs and wealthy investors may feel good because of the stock market, but that is not the reality for millions of workers dealing with higher food costs, medical bills, back-to-school expenses and economic pressure.
The stakes are especially serious for working families and Black families. Roland says Republican economic policies enrich corporations and people at the top while cuts and restrictions tied to the so-called Big Beautiful Bill hit Pell Grants, Parent PLUS loans and other parts of household life. His message is direct: stop listening to the spin and look at the data and what people are paying in their own communities.
Black Star Network Partner: Chapter
Chapter and its affiliates are not connected with or endorsed by any government entity or the federal Medicare program. Chapter Advisory, LLC represents Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO, and PFFS organizations and stand alone prescription drug plans that have a Medicare contract. Enrollment depends on the plan’s contract renewal. While we have a database of every Medicare plan nationwide and can help you to search among all plans, we have contracts with many but not all plans. As a result, we do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 50 organizations which offer 18,160 products nationwide. We search and recommend all plans, even those we don’t directly offer. You can contact a licensed Chapter agent to find out the number of products available in your specific area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-Medicare, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options
