Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford is making a direct case against Gov. Joe Lombardo and Donald Trump. Ford says “Joe Lombardo and Donald Trump have decimated our economy” and argues that the “Lombardo Trump economy” has left Nevadans struggling not just to thrive, but to survive.

Ford ties the race to kitchen-table pain. He talks about the affordability crisis, the threat of Medicaid losses, rising energy costs, and the pressure families feel every day. He says he does not want residents paying higher rates because of data center energy use, warns that large numbers of Nevadans could lose Medicaid, and says, “when I’m governor, we’re going to feed our kids.”

He also frames the campaign as a fight. Ford says voters can choose someone who folds or someone who fights, and he makes clear that he is not backing down from Trump or MAGA politics. “I ain’t scared of none of them,” he says. He also reminds viewers how much votes matter, noting that just 4,533 votes separated winning and losing in one of his statewide races.

This campaign carries historic stakes as well. Ford’s run for governor is part of a broader Black political fight in a country that has elected very few Black governors. In Nevada, he is pitching himself as the fighter who can take on MAGA, confront economic pain, and give voters a chance to make history.
