as posted by the channelHandover of 136 Energy Saving LED Bulbs to the Special Education Unit of the Ministry of Education concludes an islandwide distribution to all secondary and special education schools as part of the Youth in Climate Change Project to reduce their electricity consumption. This project, executed in 2024 by the Department of Sustainable Development also involved capacity building for youth leaders, who then led climate change presentations at secondary schools islandwide; internships for students of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and a youth-focused climate change consultation to review Saint Lucia’s Nationally Determined Contribution. The Youth in Climate Change Project was funded by UNICEF for USD 39,034.
