12:10Now PlayingTucker Carlson decided to do a monologue about the chaotic state of things at Southwest Airlines this week, squarely laying the blame for pilot shortages on Joe Biden due to vaccine mandates. Pilot shortages have been an ongoing an growing problem in the industry for months, but far be it from plain facts to affect Tucker Carlson's unhinged unified theory of all things. Now he is a worker's rights advocate. Was. He was an advocate for workers' rights for about 1 minute and 20 seconds yesterday. So there was that, but as he is giving this monologue, the Southwest Airlines' unions have already told the press that all of this had nothing to do with vaccine mandates.

Emma Vigeland: Aligned with his far-right fascist views.
Tucker Carlson: As if politicians have a right to force Americans to labor against their will, now some of us assume that was a condition we would recognize as the textbook definition of slavery, but no it's illegal not to work they told us. And then at least one outlet described what the pilots had done as quote "domestic terrorism." Get to work immediately, wage earner, or you're Al-qaeda. There were more cancellations at Southwest Airlines today, no doubt there will be more to come — and not just of airline flights. At least two Amtrak train routes in the northeast were canceled over the weekend, and so is a regularly scheduled car ferry in Washington state out to the San Juan Islands. In all cases, the employees in question, who have been told to get the shot, did not show up. Were these also protests against the Biden shot mandates? We can't say for certain.
Sam Seder: We can't say for certain, but that's what we think here. Is that really what you think there i'm so shocked to hear that it's interesting he couched it there because as we mentioned earlier in the program there is zero evidence and in fact these he's talking about labor rights as the Southwest Airline's own labor union is saying this is not because of vaccine mandates on top of which we know that October is on track to be the second worst month for pilot fatigue since August there was no vaccine mandate in August.
