That’s not how it works, your mask does help protect you, especially if its an N9-5, K-95 etc. The masking of other people is also what helps protect you, that is primarily the purpose of making on public transport. Truly, one of the stupidest things I’ve seen in my lifetime is all the people who pretended this was facing Orwellian style or Brave New World style tyranny. This is what it looks like the Berlin Wall to fall, the pilot saying, “yeah you can take your mask down. If you’re immunocompromised stay masked up, good for you, good luck.” It’s embarrassing. It's a historic moment, I don’t know why you’re downplaying it. It’s like Juneteenth all over again. Essentially that was Jen Psaki responding to it, they are disappointed in the decision, and say they are going to be looking into it and whether or not the DOJ will appeal. But, I’m not so sure they will because that WSJ, if you were listening to the podcast, the video had some captioning in it—mentioning how airline industry groups have been lobbying for this for a while.
