I was talking to one of my friends recently and they had just lost a friend. A horrible horrible thing happened with their friend in Wyoming. They had just come out as trans to their father the father ended up murdering the whole family. As well as killing himself. And my friend was, you know, disheartened obviously about this. But at the same time, I was absolutely angry about it. And I can completely understand. I was upset about it too. I was like how can somebody get to the point of hatred so far that they could do something like that. I mean I don't know. I mean I'm like you know like you hear stories like this you always assume there's some level of mental illness that's involved in this. But you know it's not you know there's no way to know. But even if it was none of that's going to happen unless there is a society that's basically saying the worst thing it could possibly happen to you as a parent is that you're child is not you know ultimately decides that they're not the gender they were assigned at Birth. I mean that it's just an incredible amount of hatred and it's also not just speaking to that individual right? You're creating that hate throughout the society and the social system that they're in. and it makes it that much worse. I mean it's disgusting. It's disgusting what's going on. and we've talked about this isn't that like a couple hundred 250 I think like these anti-trans bills that are in the pipe the pipeline. And this is going to be I mean I don't know on a national level if they're going to run on this in the way that they did in 2022. But certainly, we're seeing it in the context of those types of States. I mean I made this point yesterday with Professor Cowie. You know that in many respects when George Wallace said you know the south is no longer a geographic location it is a state of mind. It is a philosophy. This is what we're seeing. I mean this is the iteration. It is all part and parcel of developing a modus operandi which is to find the most marginally least powerful political people and scapegoat them and diminish them. And that is the way that you know things go forward. It's modernized witch hunting. It's like back in the 1600s you know you'd have people that are attacking people that are affecting them or witches. And you'd have people like the Mathers who are like Matt Walsh saying oh actually this is some sort of deeply troubling civilizational problem that you need to stand up to.
