3:56Now PlayingThe quiet communities within the Appalachian mountains were not so quiet once Hurricane Helene swept through the region. The devastating floods and straight-line winds brought destruction into the highest mountain peaks to the deepest of hollers across East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. This rapid destruction could only be healed by the Rapid Response Teams of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the hard-working volunteers of Samaritan's Purse. Stories of untold destruction were soon turned into stories of God's love and provision as survivors of the storm were served and cared for in Jesus' Name across the southern Appalachian region.
