1,900 families displaced by Hurricane Sandy living in hotels are being evicted to get them out of hotels by April 30 although there was a FEMA extension for the hotel program for another 28 days. This child's family was threatened with arrest and jail if they didn't leave the hotel. She, her mother and grandmother were taken to a homeless shelter yesterday. The mother is Vegan and the shelter threw away her fruit so she can't eat.
