CHRISTINA HANSEN, carriage driver who was there when Spartacus fell:
"Two carriages tangled wheels and Tony's carriage got pulled over. Spartacus fell down, and was immediately helped by a half dozen carriage drivers who kept him calm while his harness was removed so he could get up safely. Thanks to the professionalism of the drivers, Spartacus got up without injury. Once he and the carriage were checked, he was re-harnessed and driven directly back to the stable, where he was seen by his regular vet within 90 minutes and given a clean bill of health."
ASHLEY BYRNE of PETA:
"The driver showed no interest in the welfare of his horse and his only concern was saving his carriage and minimizing the expense of the damage to his carriage. He left his horse there on the ground and when an alternative to get the horse up, he refused and said it would cause further damage to his carriage."
REPORTER:
"In the video I saw, it seemed there were a lot of people around the horse, so where was the driver in that video?"
ASHLEY BYRNE: He left the horse on the ground while he was trying to save his carriage.

"What she's saying is the driver was more concerned with preserving the carriage itself rather than protecting the horse to see it's ok because he didn't want to pay for a repairs to his carriage."

"We have multiple eyewitnesses who heard the driver was expressing concern only for the carriage not for the horse."
