1:15Now PlayingSen. Patrick Leahy today met with President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, in his Washington, D.C. office. "I'm impressed with her knowledge and her legal background. We had a good private meeting. We got down to very specific views of how one sees about the Court, about how one views the Court, how one views a lifetime position, and how one can remove one's self from political thought to being a member of the country's highest court," said Leahy. After the private meeting, Sen. Leahy held a press conference on the nomination.
