Jul 28, 201540:52Now PlayingBarbara Boxer (D-CA), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), spoke on the urgent need for guaranteed long-term funding for America's transportation system. Boxer highlighted some of the 60,000 bridges that are structurally deficient. The highway bill being considered on the Senate floor would provide three years of guaranteed funding and six years of program authorization. The Highway Trust Fund expires this Friday, July 31st.
