Kaine Pays Tribute To Alison Parker & Adam Ward, Calls For Action To Reduce Gun Violence

On the Senate floor, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) paid tribute to the lives of WDBJ7 journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward and called on Congress to take meaningful action to reduce gun violence. Kaine formally announced legislation to hold people responsible if they sell or transfer a firearm to someone who is barred by federal law from possessing one, which he called “a step in the right direction.”
