It’s disgusting that the IOC gave Beijing a platform to host the world. A nation that is committing genocide against a people, and at the same time hosting the Olympics, is jarring and outrageous. My amendment with Senator Kaine calls for a diplomatic boycott of the Games. I would note that it’s important that we not express our outrage by telling our athletes that they can’t compete. We shouldn't ask a group of young Americans to give up fulfilling their dream.
