Jun 14, 202538:05Now PlayingToday, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Vice Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, held a press conference laying out how Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill Act would be catastrophic for people across Washington state who rely on Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA) health coverage, and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Senator Murray was joined by health care providers and constituents in Washington state who stand to lose the health care and nutrition benefits they rely on under the legislation, which Republicans are seeking to pass through the reconciliation process—which requires only a simple majority of votes in each chamber of Congress.
