4:29Now PlayingU.S. Senator Tim Scott is continuing a tradition he started when joining the Senate, Senator Scott will be meeting with community leaders, church groups, civic organizations, and everyday South Carolinians to hear directly from them about what makes their county unique.
In Jasper County, Senator Scott spoke with General Newton, several educators (self-described as ‘Learning Navigators’), and students to learn more about Polaris Tech's approach to education. They highlighted the benefits of autonomy and flexibility for educators, the advantages of incorporating technology, and the importance of embracing diversity in schools.
Senator Scott’s office is taking submissions for stops on his county tour. South Carolina residents are encouraged to offer suggestions on unique parts of their county. Ideas can be submitted at countytour@scott.senate.gov
