YouTube Description
as posted by the channel“When I was 16, my family lost our home to foreclosure. This set me on a path of housing insecurity for years, and a struggle for my undergrad degree that lasted for a decade. Without my friends and the community that supported me, I wouldn’t be here today.
There’s this misconception in the United States that if you are unhoused, it’s somehow your fault. That’s never been true, and it’s particularly untrue as wealth gets siphoned up to the 0.1%.
The idea we’ve allowed housing to be a market-driven commodity, instead of treating it like a human right, is a reflection of our mislaid priorities as a society and it’s one of the things I want to help correct.”
Vote for me on November 3rd.
